So many of our union brothers, sisters, siblings, and neighbors are hurting right now. In a true show of solidarity, Middle Tennessee's local unions are banding together to lend a hand.On Saturday, September 5th, we will be giving out Kroger grocery cards to all that may need it. Please share this event with those who may need it.If you are able to donate, you may do so here: actblue.com/donate/ld20. Your donation will go directly to help put food on our neighbors' tables.Dear union family and supporters,Wow, 2020 has not turned out as we expected! Normally, we would have been in our final stages of planning for our 8th Annual Labor Day Parade & Celebration. Out of respect for our members’ health and welfare, we have canceled our plans for the Parade & Celebration. However, we still want to honor the contributions of labor and working people over this holiday weekend. What better way to do so than to help our brothers, sisters, and siblings who are laid off or suffering during these hard times? In a true show of solidarity, our Labor Day Planning Committee has decided to collect sponsorships and donations to give grocery cards to our fellow union members and neighbors. Therefore, we ask the following two things of you:Help us publicize the Labor Day Community Giveback amongst your members. While we are prioritizing our help to our fellow union members, no one will be turned away.Labor Day Solidarity Day of Giving
